Frescohallen at Bergen Børs Hotel is an impressive setting where historic frescoes meet modern elegance. Here, you can celebrate weddings, gather the extended family for anniversaries, or host big corporate events or Christmas parties.
We can accommodate smaller groups as well as up to 500 guests for mingling, and 250 guests for seated events.
Norway’s new national treasure, Frescohallen, is located in the spectacular historical building that also houses Bergen Børs Hotel. The late neoclassical building was designed by Frank Wilhelm Schiertz and completed in 1862. In 1893, an additional floor made of red brick and soapstone was added. Today, Bergen Børs is considered the most important neo-renaissance building in the city.
Frescohallen's high ceilings were painted by Axel Revold in 1921-23 with motifs depicting Bergen trade.
The interior of the new restaurant is designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune, the Swedish architects behind K5 in Tokyo and Nobis in Stockholm.
Opened in May 2022, the restaurant is quickly becoming one of the top places to be in Bergen. This is probably due to the Fresco experience - the glamour of a bygone age infused with a contemporary soul. At Frescohallen, meals are served at all hours of the day and night. They are local and fresh, with a focus on seafood, grill, and signature dishes designed for sharing. Enjoy dining while listening to DJ sets that create a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
