What is your go-to Christmas party food?
De Bergenske has extensive experience as hosts, and always does what it takes to make the seasonal party a success, whether it's for Christmas lunch with work, a Christmas buffet with family or a Christmas party with a group of friends.
"We have over 100 years of experience in creating the very best experiences, with a focus on hosting and of course the traditional Christmas Norwegian food such as ribbe, pinnekjøtt (salt-cured mutton ribs), and lutefisk (cod cured in lye)," says Yngve.
– And which do you prefer?
Yngve laughs:
"I go for the very local Bergen option of pinnekjøtt and lutefisk. But I lived in Oslo for a long time, so now I need both pinnekjøtt and pork ribs," he reveals.
Christmas party with family or colleagues
Yngve believes that De Bergenske's greatest strength is its knack for creating exactly the atmosphere we associate with Christmas, the feeling of comfort and joy you feel when you gather together with colleagues, friends or family.
"The feeling of togetherness and anticipation bubbling in your body. Laughter and enjoyment. Toasting and maybe dancing. And dining at tables decorated with seasonal flowers arranged by the hotels' own florist. Pure magic with flowers," Yngve points out.
He continues:
"We want to be a positive in the lives of the people of Bergen and in the lives of our visitors and ensure that they have a genuine experience. Excellent service and hospitality are a common denominator at all our hotels and restaurants, regardless of their atmosphere and concept."
