In Bergen's most centrally located bar, you can either book a private dinner with colleagues or friends in our chambre séparée, or drop by the bar for exquisite small dishes, premium wines, and the best cocktails in Bergen.

The bar

Our skilled bartenders and sommeliers will guide you through the world's best wines and cocktails. You can also sample our bar menu. Inspired by the season's best ingredients and local producers, our chef renews the menu often.

The bar offers both table reservations and walk-ins.

Chambre séparée

Right next to our lively bar are two bright rooms, both used as a chambre séparée, offering views of Vågsallmenningen square and the medieval wharf, Bryggen. The two rooms are separated from each other by heavy, elegant curtains that create an atmosphere of intimacy and luxury.

Dine in a single private room or in both rooms with space for up to 40 people. Enjoy an exclusive dining experience, where the chef puts together a seasonal menu with the finest ingredients. Choose between five, seven or ten courses.

Our menu is uncompromising in terms of flavour, but we would like to point out that unfortunately we do not offer gluten-free, lactose-free or vegan dishes, nor do we have seafood-free options.

About BARE Vin og Matbar

On the 3rd floor of Bergen Børs Hotel, located in the heart of Bergen with views of both the Fish Market and Torgallmenningen, you'll find the newly opened BARE Vin og Matbar.

In October 2024, we launched this new concept in the space that was formerly Bare By Pak – now the place to be in Bergen after work and in the evenings, known as BARE Vin og Matbar. This exciting food and wine bar focuses on wine, cocktails, and food. Here you’ll find a New York atmosphere in the middle of Bergen city center.

BARE is located in the Speilsalen, which was originally part of the old stock exchange building dating back to the late 1800s. The room is known for its grand interior, with high ceilings, large mirrors, chandeliers, and details reflecting the building's rich architectural heyday.

Speilsalen has recently been restored, preserving its historic charm while being updated with modern amenities to meet today's needs. Now, De Bergenske is pleased to welcome guests who want to enjoy good conversations with friends, partners, or colleagues, with a fine drink in hand and dishes to match.
