Skostredet Hotel is located just off the vibrant pedestrian street Skostredet, with restaurants and bars, and near attractions including the Fish Market, Bryggen, and the Fløibanen funicular. The city's main shopping streets, the Kode art museums, and the Grieg Hall concert venue are all within walking distance as is public transport such as the light rail and airport express bus.

From Bergen Airport Flesland: Light rail to Byparken. Walking distance 400 metres. You can also take the airport express bus to the Fish Market. Walking distance 500 metres.

From Bergen train station: Walking distance approx. 550 metres.

From Strandkaiterminalen: Walking distance approx. 450 metres. Taxi rank in the quay area.

From the Hurtigruten terminal: Walking distance about 1.4 km. Taxis can be booked by calling Bergen on 07000.

By car: There is parking for cars and bicycles in the garage of Skostredet Hotel. Feel free to contact the reception for more information.

The nearest parking garage is KlosterGarasjen. There are also charging options there. You can stop outside the hotel to remove your luggage before parking your car.

About the hotel

Skostredet Hotel is a boutique hotel designed by renowned architects Claesson Koivisto Rune. With a strong focus on sustainability and quality, the hotel's architecture and interior are united in a natural combination of Japanese elegance and Scandinavian simplicity. Guests are invited in from the busy streets, fjords, steep mountains, and urban life outside, into a space where the greenery extends indoors. The hotel has a showroom and flower shop, BLOMSTER, run by florist Erlend Grevskott.

The spa hotel is also home to two restaurants, the fine dining restaurant OMAKASE by Sergey PAK, which is led by a master chef and winner of the Nordic Sushi Master Chef competition, and bar and restaurant IZAKAYA by Michelin-starred chef Vladimir Pak. Vladimir is a former world champion in Sushi.

The culinary experience at Skostredet Hotel is a tribute to the flavours of Norway and Japan, with a focus on local Bergen ingredients and a heavy dose of masterful Japanese cuisine.

Skostredet SPA will be opening in winter 2025 with four different saunas, a heated pool, a cold pool, a quiet room, and a relaxation area. Guests can indulge in everything from facials to massages and have access to a fitness room. At Skostredet Hotel, it's easy to find your way to inner harmony and balance.

The spa hotel emphasizes sustainability and care for the environment and utilises renewable geothermal heat as its main source of heating.
